Ocean View - Hokitika

We were fortunate to get a table on a busy Friday, likely because we were a couple rather than a larger group. We shared a plate of roast lamb and lamb ribs so we could indulge a bit on desserts, especially since it was Thanksgiving Day in the US! The ocean views were somewhat limited from both the veranda and especially from the main dining room due to the breakwater along the shoreline.

I ordered the surf and turf for $42, and it was excellent quality. The steak was prepared exactly as I requested, and even though it was busy, the service was very good. The location offers nice views of the west coast. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My wife and I dined here and ordered the lamb and pork main courses. The pork was easily one of the best meals I've ever had—definitely in my top three. My wife's lamb dish was her all-time favorite as well. A big shoutout to the chef; we were not expecting this level of quality in Hokitika. It was the best meal we've ever had!

A group of us went out for dinner, we had the lamb and the catch of the day. We were not disappointed, food and service were great, and the view was amazing. Will definitely go back when I’m in Hokitika next.

An excellent meal. Well done guys!!! Service was really good. The young lady is an asset to this place. My only gripe, no dress code loud children spoilt my experience
