Che Me Den Chi Ma Phu - Hoi An

We discovered this restaurant through a vegan tour in Hoi An and were captivated by the story behind the soup and the warm hospitality of the family. The soup was so delicious that we returned the following day for another bowl. This place is a must-visit to immerse yourself in the history of Hoi An, and it's conveniently located next to the Bale Well.

The restaurant is run by an elderly couple who are now retired. Their daughter helps out and warmly greets visitors. She is very friendly and makes an effort to communicate in English. She will happily explain how the soup is made and offers tastings without pressuring anyone to buy anything. In contrast to other shops and attractions, you can use just one ticket to visit attractions in the ancient town for 120,000 VND, but it is actually cheaper to just pay 10,000 VND for the tasting. I highly recommend this place.

I had the vegan veggie burrito. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it's a good lunch if you are hungry and in the area! The staff is extremely nice.

They also offer tickets to visit attractions in the old city (5 tickets for 120,000 won), but it is actually cheaper to just pay for the tasting (10,000 won). I highly recommend this place.

There are an amazing variety of vegan options available at this restaurant! From tacos and tortas to quesadillas and enchiladas, there is something for everyone. The guacamole was incredibly fresh, just like everything else on the menu. I highly recommend trying the portobello tacos as they are absolutely delicious.
