And owner says it's common in restaurants to see such issues . The lady server is not at allguilty for serving in appropriate food and agrues me it's me . Apart from that they charged me for the biryani too. Ruthlessbehavior. Never go visit there any time.
Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. What else can I say? While I have visited Indian buffets with a wider variety of dishes, many of them have fallen short on flavor. Those experiences often left me feeling disappointed, as I knew I could cook those meals better myself. However, Thumka was a delightful exception. Each dish I sampled was not only flavorful but also took me back to my first experience with Indian cuisine in Chicago. Some dishes were not only packed with flavor but also had a good level of spiciness, which I personally enjoy. It’s disappointing when visiting an ethnic restaurant only to find the food has been toned down to suit the typical Western palate. My wife and I didn’t encounter that at Thumka, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit after our first experience today. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious.
Wow! What a fantastic buffet with a wide variety of choices! Everything was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The decor is inviting and creates a welcoming atmosphere. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be back. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even the chef came out to say hello. Although the restaurant is a bit tucked away in the shopping center, once you discover this gem, you’ll absolutely love it. They offer the buffet daily from 11 AM to 3 PM and then reopen for dinner. There's also a lovely banquet room available. If you're looking for a great new spot for delicious Indian cuisine, give Thumka a try; I’m sure you’ll be very pleased you did!
The food here lacks flavor and doesn’t truly represent Indian cuisine. It might be acceptable for someone who hasn't had Indian food in a long time, but that's about it. They offer a lunch buffet, but the variety is below average, particularly for non-vegetarian dishes. The selection of vegetarian options is also limited and not particularly enjoyable. The rice options are just two: pulao and jeera rice, and they only serve naan, which isn’t very good either. The buffet lunch costs $14.99. The butter chicken and mutton curry are decent, but nothing exceptional. On the plus side, they do have a banquet hall available for kitty parties, birthday celebrations, or even Indian weddings.
We loved the place. The food was really tasty. We had the all you can eat thali. The wait staff was very attentive and courteous. The prices are also very reasonable and a lot cheaper than similar food around the area. We will definitely come here again.
