Very nice place. First time here the fry “dumplings” were delicious. I didn’t not like the Spicy Miso Ramen. but that was my fault I never had it before. It wasn’t hot just warmed.Food: 3/5
Not authentic Japanese ramen at all. Not even close. They use dry instant noodles. Soup is okay but their noodles are awful. You buy those dry instant noodles for 10 cents at Asian grocery for instant noodle soup.Sorry. I would not go back there again. Very surprised to see this in Kitakata Ramen store. Kitakata is one of the most respected Ramen chain in Japan. They would never ever allow any of their chain stores to use dry instant noodles. In fact, if they find out about this, I’m sure they’ll loose the license to use their name. After one bite, I could not eat anymore.Hope the owner read this review and change to use fresh noodles.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at an incredible ramen restaurant, and I must say it was a truly five-star experience! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a fantastic meal. The restaurant's attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the elegant decor to the friendly and attentive staff. The menu offered a wide variety of ramen options, each more tempting than the last, making it difficult to choose just one. However, I ultimately settled on the signature KitaKata ramen, and it was an absolute revelation. The broth was rich and creamy, packed with flavor that left me wanting more with every spoonful. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and thoughtfully selected. It was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that created a symphony in my mouth.
We were cruising around looking for places to eat dinner. We eat out a lot as we like to explore in hope of bumping into good restaurants. This place had a good first impression and a yummy first bite but after that it went downhill. Not just me but even my husband agreed. The taste of the broth started to get salty and no other taste I could identify to make me keep enjoying the dish. The noodles had no taste. Just the texture. There were 5 thin slices of pork belly and some veggies. That’s it. Plain salty. Even the after taste, just salty. Tasted like MSG and salt. After a few bites into the dishes, we were looking at each other and not sure if we were able to finish it. What happened to the first bite taste? Where did it go?
