Awesome Cafe - Hodgenville

I apologize for being so late with this review. My father and I were nearby to visit Abe Lincoln's birthplace when we stopped for lunch. You couldn't be the biggest operation, but there's so much heart here and excellent food that we'll come back when we swing safely through the area. Had the awesome burger of the Abe, who was so fresh and could not be beaten. We had a ride ahead, so we ordered our apple cake to go. When we came to the hotel where we lived, the cake ENTIRELY was worth waiting for the real apples (still a little crunchy) to their homemade crust! Top Notch! The staff was more than friendly and attentive. What a great restaurant! Not enough good things to say about these people and their food!

My first time here on the other day. I had the sandwich. Pros. The food was freshly crispy and hot. Tenderloin was huge and thin as a Wiener Schnitzel. Negative, I felt that the tenderloin needed more spices of taste was a little bland. I would definitely go back and want to try other menu items. I love to support small businesses and hope they do well.

We traveled home from our family holiday and stopped for lunch. The Cheeseburgers are AMAZING! My children ordered the chicken wings and pommes, they said it was the best chicken they ever had! Definitely a hidden jewel! Oh, and the chocolate cake is delicious.

Quick friendly affordable happy little city USA home cooking.... I can say I'll be back when I'm ever back in this town.
