Nelsons Fish And Chips - Hockley Heath

Nelsons is fantastic in every sight. eating is highest quality from their chips to the kebabs to fish, all they get is of the highest quality and always fresh. the customer service is brilliant, they always make them welcome and the one young guy always makes the effort to say hello to me (not sure his name, maybe ben? my only complaining would be that they no longer make balti pies and I wish they had an additional day open! joking aside it is hard to give them any negative, there can be a bit more pricier than other chip shops, but they really do what they pay.

I've been visiting this restaurant regularly for a week now, and I've really enjoyed their delicious wraps, especially the chicken wrap, which has become my favorite. They offer an online ordering option for click and collect, which is super convenient. The meal packs are also great. Some of my friends have tried the fish and chips and absolutely loved them, although I haven't had the chance to try it myself. The staff are very friendly and seem to know most of the customers and their preferences.

At Nelson's, a large fish and chips meal is nearly ten pounds and could easily feed two people—though the box is quite large compared to the amount of food. But is that really such a bad thing in today's world of overconsumption and food waste? We ended up finishing everything, so we didn’t waste a thing. The prices at both places are a bit steep compared to what you'd find for a smaller meal elsewhere, but each shop offers a distinct experience. Both options are valid, and we’re happy to keep visiting either one!

My go to Fish and chips shop. It’s so good, it’s always on my agenda as a treat when I drive up to the Midlands from my home in London. Consistently great quality and great friendly service from all the staff.

I live quite close to Nelson's and without a doubt they are the best fish and chip shop around. I have been to Shirley, Dorridge, Henley, Solihull etc and no one can beat Nelson's.
