Koma Ramen - Hobart

This is the only ramen restaurant in hobart, originally this was delicious but the service was a little rude. I forgave that for the delicious ramen. Then they stopped adding seaweed sheets as in the photo, I had to ask.Now the taste is going more bland as weeks go on to the point I have stopped visiting.I have been there 20 odd times to watch the flavour diminish.Really dissapointing as I did love the only Ramen shop in town

Ordered a take away chicken katsu ramen. Was very excited to eat this as I used to live in Japan so I was expecting something of that standard. I was shocked to see just a bowl of noodles and the chicken katsu in a separate bowl. I was even more shocked when I tasted the noodles - there was no taste! The broth was awful. It was just watery noodles. Not happy. Biggest waste of $14 in a long time.

The best ramen I had Homemade ramen with Teriyaki chicken and my hubby had ramen with deep fried pork chop. Both were nice but I loved my chicken better and the noodle soup was so delicious. We also had Gyoza which was just ok, however the Agedashi-tofu was so smooth and silky inside. It is worth returning on my next visit to Hobart.

Sunday night in Hobart and just wanted a quick bit to eat, so this place suited us fine. Service was fast and didn't wait too long for our meals. Disappointed in the Okonomiyaki, but the rest was ok and tasted great.

I'd heard good things about Koma so I encouraged a friend to join me for lunch.Service and speed was ok though not hugely inviting.We ordered two bowls of different ramen and some sides.Tofu looked ok, slightly crispy on the outside and was very soft and hot inside though it had no real flavour in the sauce on its dish.Okonomiyaki didn't look anything like their menu picture though they tasted ok I'm not sure they justified their name.The meat in the ramen was cooked ok though my duck wasn't totally loaded with flavour. The stock didn't have much taste to it at all and this place prides itself on a supposed long cooking time of fresh ingredients.There wasn't much else in the bowl aside from noodles and a couple of slices of that sliced rice roll thing so it wasn't super exciting. Obviously the noodles had no way to soak up any awesome flavour as there wasn't any to absorb. :(We didn't finish the mains due to being so underwhelmed.
