I waited 40mins for the 450 gram scotch fillet NY to arrive (cooked rare) only to be given the wrong steak. After waiting another 30 mins the correct steak finally arrived (and I almost wish it hadn't). It was tough and tasted like it had been previously frozen. Their new head chef needs to be sent back to culinary school I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, nor will I ever return.
This was our second visit to share a meal with friends. at both places it was great to eat. the service was good and they were very busy, but gave us time and explained all the questions we had. I would recommend this restaurant for a pleasant meal in salamanca.
Eating servier size was great, I chose the 1kg rump steak, perfectly cooked to my choice. absolutely drowned in pfeffersoße! the atmosphere is a little quiet, but I was there for the food : .
Eating was amazing. huge size serves, great value for money. amazing tasty and fresh tassie products. partner ordered the seafood plate tempura tasmanic scallops, coconut crumb garnel, spiced tasmanic calamari, tempura local fish on rustic slices. the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. the garnels were the greatest we saw in tassie, and the taste was skrumple. he started with chowder and luck he ordered the entree size, rich creamy n full seafood n kartoffel. I'm going back to have a bowl. I chose the huh involtini, two huge chicken breast packed in prosciutto, on saffron risotto with red capsicum coulis, a welcome battle to get through. I couldn't leave a riskorn so delicious. beautiful size glasses of wein from a good choice weinliste, beautiful to not look the curse out and the prices very reasonable. service was friendly and welcoming and we didn't have to wait long for everything. my only problem was that the seats were small and not overly comfortable, but that would not stop me going back. I also wish I had a place for dessert, because the table had breathtaking desserts that made our mouthwater. a dessert would have been a lot to share for two. will definitely go back and definitely recommend beef seafood grill in salamanca hobart.
I ordered the Napoletana pizzette, while my partner opted for the eye fillet steak cooked medium, accompanied by a side of duck fat potatoes. He also requested a side of mushroom sauce for his steak, which turned out to be a less than appealing mix of water with just a few mushrooms in it. Additionally, the steak was cooked more rare than medium, and the potatoes seemed overly salty and slightly undercooked. Thank goodness for dessert! We ordered the chocolate assiette, which was absolutely delicious and definitely the highlight of our meal. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, thanks to the two staff members who took care of us that night; they were very helpful and attentive.
