Pho Me - Hitchin

Ordered food for the delivery via Go-Gtters arrived quickly and container recyclable (except for holding film around the suppe.) it was obtained a pho with tofu mushrooms, which was with fine but tasty aromas with rice, which came with veg, tofu and mushrooms and was fragrant and tasteful. the roasted broth sticks did not arrive, but were sorted. I want to try it. would recommend! 25.05.2022: dense in- cute place in an old building with a view of the square. have a Papaya salad, Vietnamese pancakes, roasted broth sticks (so amazing,) pho summer rolls (all tofu options.) eating was all delicious. good portions sizes. they currently have no alcoholic license, but they can bring their own alcohol. updated by previous review on 2022-05-25

Leaving a negative review of a local business is not ideal, but in this case it feels necessary. Three of us arrived at 8 PM today and found only a few customers in the restaurant. The employees were all wearing unironed and creased white polo t-shirts, which did not reflect well on the establishment. We ordered spring rolls for starters and a beef salad, mushroom/tofu dish, and a baguette for the main course. Unfortunately, the dishes were served at different times, resulting in us eating separately. The beef salad presentation was poor, the spring rolls were burnt inside, the mushroom/tofu dish lacked flavor despite being advertised as spicy, and the baguette was disappointing. To add to our disappointment, the staff rushed us to finish our meal by 9:15 PM, even though we had only received our main course shortly before 9 PM. We left half of our food uneaten. This experience was a letdown as I enjoy Vietnamese cuisine and was hoping to find a good local spot. Unless there are significant improvements, we will be exploring other dining options in Hitchin.

The Vietnamese salads are great, the lotus is my favorite. the tofu pancakes are also fantastic.

The staff were wearing wrinkled white polo shirts, which didn't give a good impression. We ordered veg spring rolls for starters and mains including a beef salad, bun hue mushroom/tofu, and a baguette. The food was served at staggered times, with the beef salad presented poorly, the spring rolls burnt and split, the bun hue tasteless, and the baguette stale. To make matters worse, the staff began taking pictures of us at 9:15pm, seemingly amused that we were still there past closing time. I have never felt the need to not leave a tip before, but the experience was so disappointing. It is a shame, as I enjoy Vietnamese cuisine and would love to have a good local spot to visit. I hope they can improve and invite us back, but until then, we will be exploring other eateries in Hitchin.

I recently dined in at this restaurant and found it to be a cute place in an old building overlooking the square. I tried a papaya salad, Vietnamese pancake, fried breadsticks (which were amazing), and pho summer rolls (all tofu options). The food was all delicious and fresh, with good portion sizes.
