The Raven - Hitchin United Kingdom

When our main courses arrived, we encountered issues with both meals. Unfortunately, we didn't receive a table check. The food was quite disappointing, and we barely touched it. When the staff finally cleared our plates, there was no expression of concern whatsoever. The overall lack of customer care was evident. We will definitely not be returning.

We were welcomed with a smile and shown to our table. The restaurant was beautiful and clean, and the glasses were spotless. The meals were delicious, and we left nothing on our plates. The staff was very attentive, promptly coming to our table whenever we needed another round of drinks. They worked well together as a team. I've visited several times, and I highly recommend it.

Charming pub with a wonderful family-friendly garden. The food portions are generous, and the service is warm and welcoming. They truly excel at what they do. We enjoyed the pie of the day, which was accompanied by crispy golden potatoes and a fresh salmon salad.

This is the sister pub to the White Horse in Southill. It is located in the lovely village of Hexton. The food again is very good. They have a good variety on the menu, and normally have a good selection of daily specials. They also have a childrens menu and will cater for things not on the menu if asked. The outdoor play area is smaller than the White Horse, and really only caters for slightly younger children. They have benches for parents to sit on and on the patio are have tables. These can be used to have food on, if it is warm enough. They have a decent sized car park, but the entrance is a little bit narrow to get into, especially if a car is coming the other way.

Wow! From a California girl's perspective this gorgeous English restaurant was The perfect English restaurant experience. The ambience was more then I dreamed and so was the food.
