We arrived late and they accommodated us without judgement or attitude. They sat us next to other families with children so we wouldn't seems as an annoyance to other attempting to enjoy a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, but at the same time making us feel as if we were the only patrons at the restaurant. Julie (I believe that was her name) was awesome and very customer service oriented and I appreciate her help and service. Good sushi is not hard to find but Zendo is a full package of customer service, ambiance and great food all rolled together....get it??! Corny but couldn't resist!
Best sushi I’ve ever had will most likely go back. They were a little short staffed that night so food took longer to get but when we got it. They sushi was really good. The deep fried tuna roll was the best.
We went to Zendo for New Years Eve and were quite disappointed . We were seated at a table that was subject to drafts from the opening door, it was extremely cold. We asked for another table and they found us one behind a barrier wall opposite the bar and the kitchen and then forgot about us. I ordered a Tom Kai coconut milk soup with chicken. When it finally came it came with shrimp so I sent it back. The correct one was brought but it was so spicy that I couldn't eat it and I am used to spicy food. We then waited for over 40 minutes for our entree's to come. I finally had to get up and call to someone over the barrier wall and our food was almost immediately produced. My husband had the Mongolian beef which he liked and I had their shrimp with walnut dish which I didn't particularly like. The fried shrimp were served as if I had ordered shrimp cocktail with a bit of spicy mayonaise but they were slightly greasy and heavy. The candied walnuts were like an after thought and the broccoli was so full of water that it wasn't worth eating. Very small desert choice which the waitress forgot to offer us. She arrived with the check before asking us if we wanted desert. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant but my husband felt he would. Lastly the atmosphere left much to be desired. Considering it was New Yers Eve having three large TV's with sports and Fox network playing was not a very festive atmosphere. They could have done some decorating for the holiday.
The most AWFUL sloppy Chinese food. First of all, we were the ONLY table in a gigantic restuarant on a Wednesday at lunch time...that should have been the warning! The $20 dollar sizzling sea bass was coated in batter and drowning in sauce. Really overpriced, cheap Chinese food
