Margie's Southern Cooking - Hinesville

We were long-time customers of Margie's, and I'm not sure why but lately the food hasn't been as good. The last 4 times we've gone the food has tasted bland or like leftovers, and doesn't smell appealing. I don't think we'll be going back any time soon. This is the best soul food I have had in years. Since I left louisiana 2 yrs ago. Omg I can not say enough as I'm writing this I keep shoveling my face full of food and I'm so full already comes with enough food for two or 3 in each serving. Big thank you to Ms Margie!!! I have ate at Margie's Southern Cooking many times. The name says it all! This is Southern Cooking at it's best! Each Day of the week has a particular entrée dish and every Entrée is fantastic so don't worry about what is served that day, just get it you won't be sorry! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was so good I forgot to take a picture. This place is definitely a 10/10 . If you want some southern food this is the place to go. I lived here for 6 year and wish I found this sooner. We arrived five minutes before closing, for breakfast. The only item still offered was the breakfast bowl. This is a mashup of grits, bacon, and scrambled egg. The food was just so so. The condiments were tiny packages of salt and pepper paired with plastic utensils. Salt shaker on table was caked and wouldn't pour. Dining area was an enclosure from a trailer where food was prepared. Not the greatest dining experience.
