Nordburger - HINDMARSH

We had the Hawaiian chicken burger. Freaking awesome and FANTASTIC value.Sides are rubbish, though. First side of fries were cold, but they were promptly replaced. But they really not great. Potato gems aren't much better. Get some sweet potato fries and onion rings please. That would be much better.

We visited after seeing 'Effie the virgin bride' and I ordered the mushroom burger (as that's the only option for vegos) and received an average looking burger with hardly any salad and an oil saturated mushroom patty. The others got decent looking 'meat' burgers though.

You're always going to get a great burger here hence the line-up and we all (four) loved it. They are real burgers not like the other big two with a good selection. Will be back, the only probs was some of the chips we had as a side were very hard, probably a little under cooked because of the crowd so keep an eye on them, we'd rather weight longer for better food.

The burgers and fries here can be great. When you get a fresh bun, crispy fries and what you order. Unfortunately this combination of quality only happens about half the time. Sometimes burger buns are squashed, misshapen things like they were once frozen. Sometimes the buns are fresh and light. Sometimes the chips are think, hot and crispy. Sometimes limp, cold and soggy. Sometimes they get your burger extras correct (that you pay extra for), sometimes they mix them up or just leave them out altogether. It would be great if the quality was more consistent.

Services was prompt and efficient. I was excited to try my first Nordburger having never been before. Ordered standard Nordburger and fries. At in. Sad looking burger arrived on a silver (well; stainless) platter that promised something more grandiose. Minimal salads and kinda deflated looking overall - presentation definitely failed to live up to expectations. The burger patty was good, not grey like a big chain burger, a proper looking patty well grilled - kudos for the patty. The rest was no different to the big fast foods - overly sweet and overly soft buns, lacking in decent salads. The fries were soggy. At least at the big chains your fries are crisp! Not here. Really disappointing fries. Inexcusable really. So no, I can't see what the fuss was about, won't return. Very mediocre.
