Tere are good retaurants. my recomend retauranten are chiken and oden restaurant. a baked chikin is very delicious. oden is imeji oden. it means they eat oden with giger soy sauce.

Can't say I'm an expert in Japanese oden but it's reasonably priced and served the Himeji castle shaped piece of konnyaku thing. (No offence intended! . Tasted yummy together with the local favourite ginger soy sauce. Had 5 pieces of pre selected oden pieces for 680yen.

I had a light meal at a food court inside Himeji Station. I noticed "Himeji Oden" and decided to try some. One of the items had a konnyaku shaped like Himeji Castle on it. The broth tasted similar to a dipping sauce. I learned that in Himeji, it's customary to eat oden with ginger soy sauce.
