Amigos Cafe Y Cantina - Hilton Head

This place is truly a hidden gem! Tucked away in a small shopping plaza, it’s a bit off the beaten path. The food is fantastic, with a comforting, home-cooked feel. The portions are incredibly generous. My husband and I shared a chicken fajita platter, and it was more than enough for both of us. We absolutely loved the meal! As New Yorkers who dine out often, we’ve tried many places, but this one from out of state is definitely among our favorites. I had to give it a rating because it was just that good!

**The positives:** The Fish Tacos and Combo Platter are both excellent. However, rice and beans are extra for the tacos, and there are no enchiladas or Chile Rellenos on the menu. The Burrito is enormous, which is great! Keep in mind that chips and salsa come at an additional cost unless it's Happy Hour. One suggestion for the Fish Tacos: they should include two corn tortillas each, as mine fell apart at the first touch.

This fantastic local restaurant has been a staple on the island for over 30 years. We enjoyed the Baja fish tacos and chicken quesadillas, both of which were exceptional! The flavors were incredible, the vegetables were fresh, and the drink selection was thoughtfully chosen. This local gem is definitely worth a visit!

The burritos are crazy huge, like 2-3x the size of burrito from (chipotle/qdoba. I had the Carne asada burrito, it was really good and very rich tasting (cheese, sour cream, etc , but I missed it not having Pico-de-gallo inside.Wife loved the fish tacos. My 12-year had some chicken tacos with so much meat she didn 't know what to do, but she loved it.Kid 's cheese quesadilla was HUGE THICK,...never seen so much cheese on a kids quesadilla.

We always start with the cheese dip, it's delicious! And I could eat the BBQ chicken salad everyday! Employees are always friendly
