Food was better than average, but the waiter was condescending to my guests when they asked reasonable questions about food preparation like spices used. For the prices charged, bare vinyl table coverings were a disappointment.
No air conditioning on a crowded July night and the place was sweltering. Bathroom was filthy. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Would not go back.
My family eats at this restaurant every year, and every year we say we should not go back. The views are nice, but the food was not great. It is said that the best meal was a kid’s meal for a three year old. My advice would be to look elsewhere for an enjoyable dining experience.
Reservations highly recommended and make them early. The restaurant faces toward the sunset and the restaurant posts the time of sunset on the door (but you can find it on the Weather Channel or through any of the local TV stations). The seafood and pasta dishes are wonderful, the soups marvelous, and the bread fresh baked. Leave room for desert, though, because the tiramisu, creme brulee, and oreo pie are all excellent. So many desserts, so little time. If you take a sunset cruise out of the harbor, I'd recommend the cruise first returning for dinner. Unless you eat early, the rush to get to the cruise makes dinner less enjoyable.
