Zwinger - Hilpoltstein

This bar restaurant is deep in the intestines of Hilpoltstein. You enter and go a few steps into a large cave with tables to eat and drink. The food is excellent and good price. The beer is a local brewery Pyraser. This cellar bar opens from 6 pm to early morning. Worth a visit.

It has a Dungeon theme (here the name Zwinger), the cellar was in the 13th. century built for vineyards. It is the perfect place for a warm soup and a cold beer to go on tap. Beers from the local brewery (Pyraser) are available, as well as Guiness on tap. Service can be slow when it's full, so you shouldn't be in a hurry when you come here. Open in the evening (after 6 pm daily, closed Sundays).
