Clean and efficient, if slightly dated. Few food options; grab some musubi or a sandwich before driving to the airport.
This lounge is for 1st class, and frequent fliers. Lets be clear there is no alcohol in the lounge. Also, there are no flight announcements, nor is there a flight board so you can see your flights status...you have to keep a close eye on time. What does it have, some so, so coffee, some cheap snacks (stale crackers to be specific), and a nice selection of teas. It also has t.v. 's everywhere you look (so no quiet spots). It does have a few small areas to work, but no bathrooms. For the size of the airport it 's inadequate, but what it is...this is Hilo after all.
Lovely, sleepy Hawaiian airport. One of the nicest and most comfortable departure lounges I’ve been in.
Review #41 for 2018. The Hawaiian Airlines Premier Lounge isn't much compared to lounges at other airports, but it's a nice space away from the main lobby at the airport. There are comfortable chairs, televisions, coffee, hot water for tea, small packages of snack mix, and sodas. There is also free WiFi and magazines to peruse while waiting for your flight. Gotta love the free WiFi since Hilo Airport doesn't have free WiFi yet. Scan your ticket to get in if you have Premier/Pualani status. The lounge is always clean, but it sometimes gets crowded.
