Abundant Life Natural Foods - Hilo

I really liked this store. A great range of high quality foods. Wish I'd found it before KTA!

Nice little health food store that is packed with items. Very friendly group with the local veggies and locally made prepared eats to go. They were very helpful to me.

I did not review the whole load, but the perishable products I knew were all really expensive here. like 2x so much. If you're looking for fresh fruit, you just go to the hilo farmer market. they have a broader choice. the only thing they have here for them is the dig and go section. many vegan options that are quite expensive.

We went a few times during our trip to take a quick lunch, travel snacks and some food souvenirs home. perfect stop in front of a beach picnic! a series of clearly marked vegan bakeries, salads and sandwiches in the dig and go cooler and environment. I know that everything on hawaii is more expensive than on the mainland, but most of the things here were quite expensive, all considered. some of the snacks were even cheaper than our cleveland whole foods. definitiw on coffee in comparison to other places stored on the island.

Lots of vegan choices in this supermarket. If you're in Hilo you should stock up on food before you head off for the day since choices are limited in other parts of the island (except Kona). The vegan burrito was great.
