Siam River Thai - Hillingdon

Our experience with Siam River's takeaway was really disappointing. Out of the three dishes we ordered, only one had any Thai flavor. The lettuce wraps were decent with a nice filling, but lacked typical Thai flavors. The spicy tiger prawns with 'special Thai sauce' was the worst dish, as it had no seasoning or sauce apart from a small unlabelled pot of very salty brown sauce with green chillies. The famous green curry with vegetables did have the lovely depth of Thai flavor we were looking for, but the large pieces of frozen vegetables could have been more appetizing if they were chopped up. Overall, it seemed like the chef may have had a night off or we simply had bad luck. Either way, we will not be ordering from Siam River again.

I have visited this restaurant several times and the food has been consistently excellent. It is delicious and packed with flavor. The staff is friendly and always willing to assist. I would highly recommend this place.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a quick business meeting and a delicious lunch accompanied by a few beers. Their Pad Thai with Chicken, Prawn cakes, and Papaya salad are exceptional. It's important to note that their salad can be quite spicy, so be sure to communicate your preference when ordering. The bar serves refreshing beers, which are especially appreciated during hot weather. Although it can get crowded in the evenings, as they don't take table reservations, parking is easy across the street with reasonable fees. I highly recommend this place for lunch meetings!

Fabulous authentic Thai food served here with outstanding choice of beverages at the bar. I’ve never had a bad meal here, and when too busy to get a table, I get a takeaway. Main dishes to look for freshly made papaya salad with chilli heat to taste. I prefer medium since they use lethal bullet Birds Eye chilli from Thailand. Next chicken lettuce wrap is a great refreshing starter to share. But their prawn crackers are spicy and made of actual prawn unlike the white version served elsewhere. No meal is incomplete without the obligatory Thai green curry with beef, medium spicy. They serve it with a small portion of complimentary jasmine rice. No other place I have visited comp. rice with their mains. Sadly, they don’t offer deserts like they used to in the past but nothing to worry about, since Baskin Robins is few yards walk away from here. Keep up the good work. Will definitely be back next week.
