Lakeside - HIGHLANDS

One of my favorite restaurants everywhere! Loves this place for many years. They are consistently excellent and we have so many wonderful memories and meals there! Tonight was excellent as usual. I had some of the most beautiful experiences here? Love this place!

Please read this as 20 stars, as all four of us want to give 5 stars! Buckle up bc we have endless big things to say: the food is clearly as fresh as you can get and is of the highest quality of the cook is a genius. The combination of aromas on this menu is different from everything you find, it's total brilliance bless this kitchen and staff for the navigation of our milk and gluten allergies. Everyone was knowledgeable, non-judgmental and accommodating. Please know that this makes the world of a difference for those of us who need to navigate allergies in public spaces easily! Security is conditional and you have made this a safe place for us, and this is invaluable: spoken by invaluable, the manager was only an absolute jewel of a person. She was creepy, real and attentive. It is the kind of person you hope to win the lottery because good things should happen to people like them! the ambience of this place is how we imagine the lost kitchen. This is the lost kitchen of the South! Aka, they have cultivated a place that has its own precious balance of charm, peace and beauty that I wish I have taken more photos that I could share! No pictures were edited. *We also ate outside (do not want to share these pictures as other people were in them. You must see for yourself.

Absolutely delicious! Chef Kevin has designed an impeccable menu. The taste profiles were enthusiastically paired. The staff was friendly. Our Merrill server delivered Exceiservice.

For the first time, Diner! Scallops were so good. Very loud in a small dining room with tables too close together. Service was very good. It has an outside seat.

A must for dinner in Highlands, NC! From start to finish the experience was 5?? the staff who answered our call for a reservation was friendly and helpful on Gluten-free options (she checked with the chef too), hostess upon arrival was welcoming, our server was excellent, and the meal was truly one of the best we?ve had. The owner checked with us on how our dinner was and gave us a warm goodbye when leaving. Each dish was mouth watering, hot, and delicious! We highly recommend Lakeside Restaurant for dinner, cheers!
