Crostatas Rustic Pizza

My wife and I recently had a great tasting dinner at Crostatas Rustic Pizza on the southwest corner of Bishop Road and Highland Road in Higland Heights, Ohio. There are many parking spaces on the street dedicated to Crostatas Rustic Pizza. On the south side of the building there is a covered outdoor area for the warmer months of the year. The restaurant decor and atmosphere is beautiful. When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess brought us to our table and gave us menus. Many tables were occupied by other diners. The food is very good. The service is not so good. We observed two servers stretched thinly to cover all occupied tables. I had to ask our Vanessa server to refill my empty drink, although it is often past our table. My dessert came incompletely from what was described on the menu. The missing elements of the dessert were not explained. We noticed that none of the employees wore face masks at the end of March 2022. Most males didn't wear face masks while they entered and left the restaurant. Some males wore face masks. We entered the restaurant with face masks and wore them until sitting. We later asked if wearing face masks affects our service. The server came to our table to take our drinks orders. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea. My wife ordered a hot tea. Her hot tea came as a cup of hot water a single portion and not with a small teapot hot water. We started with a crostata's little dish appetizer. Pepperoni Rossi alla Griglia House roasted red peppers with garlic and EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil). It is served chilled with a piece of bread. We both had a serving of the wedding soup with a piece of bread each. We ordered the Quattro Stagioni Pizza. The pizzas have a margherita base (tomato and mozzarella cheese) with sausage, artichokes, slices and roasted red peppers. YUMMY! The sausage is a mild sausage. My wife enjoyed her as serving and took some home so she could enjoy a dessert. I added a few red pepper flakes from the selection of spices on the table to add a mild heat/image to my pizza. I finished my pizza at the restaurant. We really enjoyed our pizzas. My wife had the Napolean Limone Dessert with a glass of wine. Delicious! The Napolean Limone is homemade lemon, puff pastries with whipped cream and raspberry sauce. I ordered the Toni Spumoni that their menu claims are the BEST in all countries. The menu describes Toni Spumoni has painted spumoni with whipped cream and candied cherries. MY Dessert came with the spumoni ice cream, but NO whipped cream and candied cherries. My dessert was not "the best in the whole country." Again, the food is good and some are FREE. The atmosphere/decor is beautiful. The restaurant is clean. There are two unisex washrooms. The one I used is clean and well maintained. I am sure that the service could be improved by more servers if the restaurant is almost full and I understand that the dining area is not always full. The next time we get the pizza as a ride and not worried about the table service.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Cleveland area. The best service and a wonderful culinary experience.

Love the food here and the service was always great. Like an example when I picked up my food order today, the host (Vanessa) went to my car in the icy cold because I am pregnant for 8 months. I didn't even ask her to do that. I was blown away from her kindness and how attentive she was. The fact that the food was delicious, as always was just the cherry up!

Me and my mom were three times in Crostatas. Every time it was great. Food is authentic and very tasty and the atmosphere is pleasant and very at home like. Service is great. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. We'll feed as often as we can.

The Best Authentic Sicilian Italian Italian Food on Planet Earth. End of the story. Everything is prepared as if your Grandmother was making it just for you on a Sunday afternoon. FRESH and the very finest ingredients money can buy. You'd be hard pressed to find any Italian Restaurant anywhere unless you got on an International Flight to Italy that comes close. From the Caesar Salad, stone oven pizzas topped with fresh basil, stuffed artichokes, zucchini planks, ravioli, chicken breast cutlets, meat balls sausage, to the desserts it's all GREAT!! The service is also excellent making sure your happy with your meal, and checking to see if there is anything you might need in regards to what you are drinking. The whole restaurant including the restrooms are SPOTLESS! Give this one of a kind authentic Italian restaurant your money you won't every be disappointed. Consistent quality time after time.
