Despite the tables that were clarified on both sides, we did not even see a personal on our way, let alone accepting our order. After we tried to win the attention of several employees, we decided to go up and down. we tried to tell the young boy on the theke why we did this, but he seemed back on our suggestion that it is always an idea to check with those who want to buy to eat or the show grinds to stand still! we are well aware that in a busy working time the waiting time can be paid for food, but should it not be the case that a long waiting time should be the case to even order or be noticed?
We have immersed for our breakfast, there is a large selection of options on the menu and in the rule of the thumb it cuts, where is expensive for a few pancakes, but in fairness they are thick pancakes, filling and. very tasty. the coffee was also good. if it weren't so expensive, we would probably have been some time again during our visit
During the first day of our holiday to inverness, while we waited for our hotel room to be ready, we were in the necessity of a meal after our train hour. along the road from our hotel we stumbled over this place. my friend suffers from an ice allergy and so we were pleased to see that a series of vegan pfann cakes were in offer! friend went for pfannkuchen and I had a krepp would recommend both. menu is a little expensive, but the portions are really generous, we both went for regular portions (the smallest size) and we both couldn't finish all our plates. if they are in the mood for pancakes or crepes, would recommend a visit!
The pancakes are beautiful and so fluffy! However, for pancakes with bacon and maple syrup is rather expensive in the afternoon, it would make me think twice about returning unfortunately. Coffee was lovely however for a coffee with flavoured syrup is also...rather expensive, the pumpkin spiced latte left a weird aftertaste which was fixed with sugar. Service was slower than we had expected for a late weekday afternoon but when everything is made fresh even the whipped cream is made fresh we couldn’t complain!
Short wait for a table which was positive. However staff seemed in-attentive and distracted. This was borne out when we ordered. Coffees were taken out at different times, leaving us sitting waiting. Then the wait for the pancakes begun. It was at least mins...before the first one appeared. With two people I would of expected that the waitress who took the order would realise that people sitting waiting for the second plate would of been a trigger to make sure everything was ok. Instead we were left waiting, tried to attract attention but were dismissed by the waitress taking a new order. Eventually she came over and seemed confused we had an issue, went into kitchen and presumably placed another order. We waited a further mins at that point with no apology or further check in while staff basically stayed behind the counter. We eventually walked out after about mins in the cafe. Its a shame as I was looking forward to experiencing the place. But per large portion, it has to be at least just decent service to justify going in. Personally we wont be going again it was pretty shockingly bad, no matter how good the food appears to be.
