Przekaż informację zwrotnąBooked deluxe family room for 3 adults loch view. Only 2 mugs provided and 2 teabags. Would have been loch view if windows had been clean. Broken toilet seat filthy fan and heater in bathroom. All in all would not have stayed but everywhere was fully booked. Breakfast poor. Overcooked and cold. A visit to remember for all the wrong reasons
Typical outcome when a lovely family run hotel is bought out by people who are clueless. Stayed here in as a solo traveller in 2017 for one night having just completed the West Highland Way. Staff were really helpful and everything else was as you would expect from a decent hotel. I caught the train the following day back to sunny Yorkshire. Now comes my big mistake, I was so impressed with the hotel that I convinced my wife and daughter that we should book a week the following summer.I could not believe the decline in the place, Ignorant staff and a shambles of a place. Fawlty Towers but sadly without the humour, Final straw was being lied to, We came down for dinner one evening only to be told the kitchen was closed because the ovens had to be serviced??? really high season and hotel full. Found out the following day the truth from an honest member of staff. The chef was sick anf the sous chef just walked out!! Stay clear of this place.Caveat Emptor
I stayed at this hotel for one night after visiting the Isle of Skye. The hotel was incredibly old and poorly maintained. The heating was not working, and I felt cold after just one night. Additionally, the soundproofing in the room was extremely poor. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
The only thing to recommend about this hotel is that the room was large and the bed comfortable. The room furnishings were old; there were none of the expected toiletries such as body lotion. The water pressure was terrible so it was a challenge to shower. Hotel location is not bad and it does have a car park.
Unfortunately whilst travelling the NC500 route we experienced some pretty poor hotels and this was the worst of the bunch. As soon as we puled up in the car park I knew we were in trouble because even from the outside the hotel looked less then perfect. I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere but due to the Mountain Bike World Cup taking place in Fort William, (yeah I never heard of it either! all the hotels were full. In reception we could barely understand the receptionist who seemed East European. Finally arriving at our room having travelled through dark and dismal corridors of brown chipped paintwork and sticky carpets we went into our room of dark brown chipped furniture and a TV that could only be switched off at the wall. The room was like a cave with minimal lighting mismatched towels in the bathroom and our view through the one window was of a large diameter rusty pipe. We went in the bar had one drink and then decided to go into town for a meal having experienced the surly, again East European staff for whom everything seemed an effort. We learned from the locals that this used to be a good hotel but is now under new management. Avoid like the plague!
