Pierhead Takeaway - Highland

Stopped here on a recent visit to Fort William and quickly regretted it. We ordered 2 special fish suppers. We found the chips tasted like reheats with absolutely no taste. The special fish was definitely over cooked with the the crunchiest outer we have ever tasted. The batter was thick and completely un edible We both could not eat them. The suppers were over priced and we would definitely never purchase from here again.

My partner and I along with two friends ended up going to Pierhead Takeaway after climbing Ben Nevis as we could not get a reservation anywhere in Fort William and the queues were ridiculous for restaurants. I must admit, we weren't looking forward to it too much after reading some relatively poor reviews. I admit when I'm wrong and we were wrong- all four of us ordered different items from the menu as well as a side of chips and sauces. All four agreed the food was fantastic. Could not have wanted more from a takeaway. Huge portions, VERY well priced, friendly staff, and tasty food. Never knew it before but we absolutely needed that after the climb. Covid restrictions meant only one person in ordering at a time, staff precautions maybe could improve though. Overall, a great little takeaway and will definitely go back for takeaway if back in Fort William.

Had little choice but to eat here due to closures. Worst garlic bread ever burnt to a crisp. In the bin. Cash only which is shocking with current Covid situations. No masks on staff, very little guidelines being adhered to in my eyes by staff. Avoid.

Whilst visiting Scotland, it’s important to sample traditional delicacies and I was determined to eat a deep fried Mars bar on my travels. You can eat one here! It comes into pieces and is exactly what it says on the tin. I could take only a tiny bite but it’s a bucket list tick!

Chicken pakora was the weirdest i have ever seen and where is the pakora sauce ? Not a tub of weird curry sauce ?? Very strange. Drunk and hungry i still ate the pakora even woke up in the morning i finished it off but im pretty sure i could if made better pakora at home . Friendly staff just thought the food was cheap and nasty
