Mambos - Highland

I wasn’t a fan of this place in the past as I found it a bit pretentious, but we had time to kill before dinner so we stopped for one. What a pleasant experience! Was greeted by a server at the door who showed us to our table. She was so warm and happy, and seemed genuinely pleased to be at work! There were a few tables in, and a nice atmosphere with good tunes. Service was great, all table service despite being a bar, and i really felt like I was welcome. Customer service at its best.

Never had dirty fries before but would definitely give them a go again. Great place , friendly staff .

We ended up here as the places we'd planned to go to were busy. We were so glad, 8 of us 4 kids, played pool and had a lovely time. The food was so good. Especially the chilli chicken. We will definitely return on our next visit to aviemore. thanks, great service and food.

I stopped by this restaurant for breakfast while staying in Aviemore. It turned out to be a fantastic decision! The vegetarian breakfasts were delicious, freshly prepared, and the chef even added some grilled halloumi which was a pleasant surprise. The dishes were beautifully presented, showing that the chef takes pride in their work. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive, making the overall experience a positive one.

I went to this restaurant for breakfast, and it was quite pleasant. The service was friendly and the food was decent. However, I was deeply offended, which is why I am giving it only one star. The night before, my friends and I had stopped by for some drinks before going to a nightclub. While there were no issues with the bar itself, the next morning as I was having breakfast, I overheard the waitress (with dark hair) talking to the bartender (with auburn hair) and their friends. They were discussing the previous night, and she kept referring to the patrons as "old people nursing drinks because they were all going to see Dave Pearce." As someone in my late thirties, I found this remark offensive. I also overheard conversations about the staff being expected to clean throughout their shift without any extra pay. While the waitress provided good service to us, I recommend that she be more mindful of her comments and tone in such a small space. I suggest avoiding this restaurant if you do not want to encounter ageism during your breakfast.
