Fish&chips - Highland

We stopped at Smiffys twice with our kids whilst staying in Aviemore. My daughter has coeliac disease meaning trying to find somewhere she can safely eat can be tricky but the staff at Smiffys were very knowledgable and were able to tell us straight away what she could have with her chips that are always gluten free. It always puts our minds at ease when the staff are clued up on what’s required whilst eating out with coeliac disease and Smiffys did just that.

We stopped in Aviemore for lunch with our tour group after visiting the Culloden Battlefield. It was a little rainy and cool, so we ate lunch there since they had a very nice indoor seating area. We ordered the fish and chips and chicken nuggets. The food came quickly and was good.

We came across this Fish Chip takeaway on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon and it was the only one open at 3.30pm. However the quality of the food was excellent at a good price and will definitely visit again even when other places are open. Excellent value for money

Phoned in an order for us to collect. It was ready when we arrived and piping hot. Quality was excellent. Service superb. An item was forgotten but as soon as they realised they called us and we were able to go back and they ran out to the car with it. Recommend this chippy in every way.

I was in Scotland for a week's holiday with friends. We were looking for somewhere to eat. This place looked lovely clean and tidy. Unfortunately they overcooked the food. Perhaps because the staff were grouped gossiping and not concentrating on the job
