The Crown At Penn - High Wycombe

This pub has always had a good reputation for excellent food sadly lost by the last lot of management.The new management are trying very hard to regain this good name hence we recently had an excellent meal with great service.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Use this great pub or lose it.

Food was good. Bit slow on bringing food out altogether though. Also, floor is quite sticky. Would recommend the chocolate brownie

I've given this place 5 stars as we just had an excellent meal, all 4 of us: great starters which were very quick to arrive (all been swimming and were famished! , great Sunday roasts for the children (both chicken , seafood linguine and sea bream risotto had plenty of fish, and desserts were superb as well. Nice bottle of wine, very friendly and efficient service, we all loved it. If there was a small gripe, the wine could have been a little colderapart from that, splendid meal out. Very fitting way to end the Easter school holidays, well done all at the Crown, especially the chef and Kat and Sam who served us.

We really liked The Crown before it was taken over and tarted up (cream paint on everything) it was always a good place to go and have been going for many years, and even going for christmas day as well with a big family group...... when it was reopened after the quick paint job.. it was heaving........we left it for a few weeks for it to settle down....... and I think people have voted with feet .... sunday menu... roasts !! and overcooked and highly overpriced as well..... and not many customers either...... its a shame ..... we wont be going back to be ripped of with poor overpriced food !!...my rating shows one star.... its not even worth one star ......... its obvious we wont be going back ........ !!!!!!!!!!!

Really Good Food I'm From Illinois so trying something new is always great I always love going to try new things like amazing English dishes great restaurant definitely recommend it!!!
