Sanibel's - High Point

Sanibel's has great fried fish platters. Even the small size has tremendous portions. Their fried popcorn shrimp and flounder is outstanding. They are always busy. The servers there are fantastic and love to interact with their regulars. The reason for four stars is that the broiled options leave a lot to be desired.Food: 4/5

First time flounder wasn’t crispy only in certain spots we order flounder they pit hot fish on top of my fries which made them soggy hush puppies were dense fish no flavor had to add my own seasoning I had turtle cheesecake bottom tasted burnt the takeout process was weird and long and the takeout lady was rude when I told her I was a. New customer and I didn’t understand the menu it’s like she refused to explain it so I gave up hope for the right order then I had to remind her to get my tea I should’ve said water that’s what the tea tasted like I might come back but i can cook way better than this so I might not very dissatisfiedDietary restrictions: Need more flavor y’all need a chef I’m available

I have always loved this place. Tonight I got fried scallops. Umm...every single one looked like it had been punched from a cookie cutter. Scallops don't grow like that! They were Ok, but not scallops, I don't believe. It they are shark meat... please reveal that!

Being from Thomasville Captain Tom's was the place to go eat seafood at least once a week. Sadly Captain Tom's burned down and I've been unable to find a seafood restaurant to fill it's shoes. I came across Sanibel's by chance using Google to search for seafood restaurants near me. I'm so glad Google suggested Sanibel's. It was great! The food was wonderful, I choose to eat a healthier diet, and the Broiled seafood platter was a real treat!! The server we had was a very nice young lady she answered and helped everyone to our satisfaction. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. I would highly recommend Sanibel's to anyone in the High Point or surrounding areas. It was a nice treat and I will be returning often. Dietary restrictions: On a diet and they had a broiled option for me. Wonderful flavor!

So we just ordered almost $60 worth food from there. It was not good. What should have been salt and pepper catfish was burned. Who messes up fries, their fries were horrible. They taste like they were refried fries. My scallops were rubbery. The inside of our fish was soft....it was a waste of money. The people in the take out part were really nice but I wish the food matched up to the service we received??. Let's just say we won't give it a second try.
