Kepley's Barbecue - High Point

Barbecue is supposed to be sour it was too sour way too much vinegar the girl that was serving me food she gave me some stuff to put on it to make it less sour it was a drink in a jar pickle juice I must have a new coat or something and just didn't taste good didn't want to say that anybody's face make else the people are really nice there but I have gotten that barbecue plate several times and it never tasted like that before maybe they were just happening a bad day I'm gonna give them the benefit of a doubt. I think I'm just gonna stick to the hot dogs and I got the next time as you have really good chili dogs this may not be in the barbecue again

Kepley's Barbeque is a hidden gem for eastern pork barbecue. I grew up enjoying this barbecue, and it sets the standard for any barbecue I try elsewhere. This isn't chain barbecue; it's the authentic experience. The service is quick and the staff is fantastic. By the way, their sweet tea and hushpuppies are simply the best around!

I cannot recommend this place. The customer service was not friendly at all. It was evident that certain customers were given preferential treatment, and both staff and other patrons were rude about it. The food appeared greasy when the waitress passed by, but we decided not to order. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable, as there was an air of rudeness and judgment that made it seem discriminatory.

I've been visiting this place my entire life, and now in my 60s, it remains my favorite BBQ spot in the world. The BBQ sandwich is served with a sweet, vinegar-based slaw on a moist bun. The meat strikes a perfect balance—not too dry, but not overly juicy either, which helps keep the bun from getting soggy. They offer plenty of juice and sauce options to suit personal tastes. As noted in other reviews, the crispy hush puppies are delicious, and I love their crinkle-cut French fries!

The potato salad is exceptional!! Hush puppies are good. But it's the potato salad I will keep coming back for! Perfect if you want to buy a quart or two for a potluck or family meal.
