Upstairs At Charlotte's - High Peak

The restaurant is located in a lovely setting and has the potential to be a fantastic place. However, the tables are sticky and the staff seem disinterested. One of the cooks walked through wearing extremely dirty trainers. We decided not to eat here. Additionally, the cups don't fit well in the saucers, leading to spills and drips.

Nice place with outdoor sitting, we really enjoyed our coffees and cakes at Charlotte's. Nothing better than a nice coffee and cake outdoors with a friendly service.

This cafe is fantastic for coffee and snacks, and they have amazing chocolates for sale. Well-behaved dogs are allowed inside. The coffee and hot chocolate were excellent, and they even give a chocolate and a couple of biscuits for the dog. The service was great.

Alas due to covid the cafe is now closing permanently. We talked to the owner and sadly after 7 yrs they cannot survive

Visited Buxton for the week end and went in here for coffee and cakes. Downstairs was very full so went upsairs (there is a lift . Quite quaint and airy. Roof tereace not open as too cold. Ordered coffee, carrot cake, lemon drzzle cake and cinnamon and rasin scone. Perhaps a little slow but we were on holiday and in no hurry. All were very well presented by attentive and friendly staff. Spoke to the chef about one of the extra lines of jam(? on the plates that we liked. Would certainly come again
