So thank you for everything you do for all of us.
For lunch in May 1st. I ordered crispy lamb salad. when it arrived, the meal consisted of a piece of iceberg salat not shredded or chopped) a few olives and 3 tiny pieces of red pfeffer, a few tiny pieces gurke, tzatziki in. a smoker plate and some slices of very fat lamb, which I could not even cut with my knife and fork. sent the meal back, the waitress explained how fat the lamb was, no excuse, she just said I will tell him five minutes later I got the same meal, but the lamb had a little more flesh on them, but not good. very disappointed, I was not addressed by any personal to ask if my meal was ok now, it warns definitiw. this meal was £9.95, certainly not worth the price.
We recently went for a Sunday dinner after reading the good reviews. we were disappointed by the quality of food. the yorkshire pudding was like nothing I've ever seen - hard, much too much flour and more like an overcrowded dumpling. the rest of the...Meal was average. the eating was unfortunately strong for the rest of the day. not comparable to the lamb inn or the old hall, the oddfellows etc. the personal was friendly.
Very friendly local pub ran by an amazing team that open to all, including mud boots, mud clinks and mud children. they make a large selection of foods cooked to perfection, which looks and tastes fresh. I will definitely return.
After an hour and half racing round Lyme Park in cold driving rain what we needed was a “proper pub”. This was our first visit to the Pride of the Peaks and we’ll definitely be back. A warm welcome from the staff and substantial portions...of tasty food was just the job. Two us had scampi, one the steak and ale pie and the other two some excellent specials. There wasn’t much choice of beers, but that wasn’t really a problem.
