The Old Clubhouse - High Peak

Great service and lovely space with lovely people. Food menu is not too big with lots of pub favourites to choose from.

Went to the new menu taster this evening, will definitely be coming love the new menu and the Nacho’s are delicious , the staff are really nice and on the ball great you with a genuine happy smile

We had a delightful evening at the old clubhouse trying out the new menu. I absolutely loved the new dishes, but my top favorites were the flavorful Beef Bourguignon, the delicious hand-made Nachos (not the usual Doritos with cheese sauce), and the tasty Chicken Schnitzel with yummy seasoning. Big thanks to the chefs and kitchen staff for the amazing food. We were so impressed that we forgot to take any pictures! Also, a shoutout to the bar and floor staff for their warm hospitality and happy faces. We felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch at this restaurant with a group of 15 people, including our dog. Oliver, the manager, was very accommodating. We were given menus ahead of time and were able to place our orders in advance, which was great for our large group. We were welcomed upon arrival and shown to our designated tables where we could all sit together. Our meals were served promptly and were reasonably priced, with good quality. Thank you for a great experience.

For those visiting Buxton, don't assume you'll easily find a table at the restaurants near the Opera House. After watching a great production, we tried several restaurants only to be told they were fully booked until late. Just as we were about to give up, we decided to try the Old Clubhouse. Even though the dining room was full, the manager Oliver managed to squeeze us in until 7pm. The menu was typical pub fare, but surprisingly delicious. My companion's chicken pie had a tasty, crispy pastry and my rare steak was cooked perfectly. Oliver, with his vast knowledge of wine, recommended a lovely bottle for us. We left feeling satisfied and grateful for the excellent service from Oliver and his staff.
