Ithaca Greek Taverna - High Peak

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience in Ithaca. They highly recommend making a reservation as they had to turn away potential diners without one. We received a kind, warm welcome upon arrival and enjoyed delicious food with excellent service. The extensive menu made it hard to choose, so we compromised by ordering a main dish along with 4 appetizers and a side. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The fact that our plates went from full to empty says it all. Overall, it was a superb culinary experience and we have no hesitation in recommending it to others. We can't wait to visit again! The dining experience was excellent, with the owner being of Greek descent, which added a very positive and charming touch. The location was beautiful and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again!

It's our 40th wedding anniversary and we were supposed to be in corfu but it was cancelled age's ago so we booked a few nights in Buxton and booked Ithaca for our anniversary meal ..wow how amazing it was, Greek music playing and the food was 1st class Greek ..absolutely beautiful ..made our day

The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. We started with the Calamari, which had a slightly crispy texture and fresh ink fish flavor. The highlight was the main course - I had the perfectly cooked cod with a side of salad. The cod was fresh and paired wonderfully with a light sauce dressing. My companion had the tender lamb with carrots, which was flavorful and melted in your mouth. This was my first time trying Greek food and I will definitely be returning. The price of £50 was reasonable considering the quality of the meal. I would happily pay that again for such top-notch food.

Both as well as the service were great. little problem with the starter I had was not sure if in the center should be cold, although it was served as it was intended, they brought out another one that was so warm. both my man and I really left with our selection of restaurant for our jubile meal. highly recommended, do not hesitate. book them further when it was busy!
