Nags Head Moreton - High Ongar

Unfortunately, this pub is far from what it used to be. It has been mostly closed and poorly managed for some time now. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip, as there's a good chance it will be closed when you arrive.

Great place if you want to have some fun! The people there are really friendly.

The pub looked inviting from the outside, but the experience inside left much to be desired. My diet coke was served in a glass clearly marked with bright red lipstick. When we flagged down the barman, who appeared to be enjoying his own pint, he gave us the option of having the coke poured into a clean glass or just getting a new bottle. My husband's pint, on the other hand, was completely flat with no foam at all. To make matters worse, there was no paper in the ladies' toilet, which is, as any woman will tell you, a total inconvenience! We decided to leave and went to the White Hart pub across the street, which was bustling for a Saturday afternoon. We found clean glasses, good beer, and, most importantly, toilet paper!
