Sideline Grill - Hicksville

Had one of the pasta special's. It was great!! Laid back atmosphere, good service, no complaints.

The Sideline Grille is a great little hometown restaurant and pizzeria. This is the kind of place every community wishes they had. Great food reasonably priced in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service from a friendly, professional staff. What more could you ask for? Check out the weekly specials: Tuesday pasta specials, Wednesday pizza specials and Thursday burger specials are tasty and very inexpensive. The drinks are good and reasonably priced as well. Food is amazing and so much for your love the wings and pasta night!

Upon entering, I was surprised to see a rather outdated bar with numerous TVs, all lacking HDMI connections, resulting in poor picture quality. We chose seats away from the bar and I quickly realized the patrons were quite entertaining, all familiar with one another. I enjoyed listening to the Jets fans joking about how poorly their team was performing. Although they don't have the volume up during the games, the bartender kindly turned it up for me, but unfortunately, the noise from the customers drowned it out. Another significant issue was the service, which left much to be desired. I hate to criticize because the staff were friendly, but they never came to check on us. We didn’t receive any refills, and our plates sat untouched until we stacked them for the waitress. Fortunately, a gentleman helped us out by bringing us water. As for the food, it wasn't great. Everything was overwhelmed with oil, and my burger was overcooked, making it hard to enjoy. It was not the start to the year I had hoped for in terms of dining. I’m pretty sure this will be my last visit, which is disappointing since it’s so close to my brother’s house.
