La Primavera - Hicksville

Very nice, warm atmosphere, great staff and service. All the food was good to very good. There were almost no negative aspects to the evening. We (6 of us there for a birthday meal) all tried each others' food. Tilapia crusted in nuts was ok, I had the veal Cappricco, I can say it was...nice. I generally do not eat veal at home and it was delicate and tasty. The brown sauce was subtle though it did not make a lasting impression on me. The others ordered from the price fixe menu (as of 1/2/10 is $25.95 weekdays and Saturday eve available for $30.95) since it came with a choice of appetizer, entrée, coffee and dessert and the rightful anticipation of a light and delicious dessert of the day (Raspberry Napoleon) was delicious. The salad with walnuts cheese, grilled Portabello mushroom with veggies, fresh mozzarella with roasted red peppers were good app'rs. Entrées Veal Parmigiana, was also nice. I was pleased with the dining experience and think most people would be too. While I'd go again I am not dreaming about it.
