Asahi - Hibiscus Coast

The food was fresh and expertly prepared and presented. My partner enjoyed the fish bento box, while I had the mixed fish teppanyaki—both dishes were delicious and tender! The service was friendly and prompt. I also appreciated the understated decor and soft music, which created a really relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely return whenever I'm in Orewa.

Ideal spot for a healthy lunch after a swim at the beach! They prepared a chicken and avocado roll for my picky 6-year-old, and he exclaimed, "It was delicious!"

If we happen to visit on a Saturday lunchtime (remember, they're closed on Sundays, which is quite disappointing), I usually order sushi. They have the most amazing salmon on rice (I'm not sure of the proper name, so apologies) that's drizzled in that delightful smoky sauce. I always make sure to move it around the plate to gather as much sauce as I can! They also serve a fantastic chicken katsu, though I personally believe Musashi on the Shore has the edge in that department. I don't often dine in, but there's nothing wrong with eating here; just don't expect much atmosphere—it gets the job done, so to speak. You could always take your meal to the beach and relax, as it's only one block away. There's plenty of parking, it's kid-friendly, and I would totally recommend it. Oh, and it's quite affordable as well, with mains costing less than $15!

South KOREAN Owned and operated Japanese Restaurant...... As a Food Lover, I 've been to many Japanese restaurants. The REAL one, Owned and operated By Japanese. I 've to say This place is NOT that good. If you are Hungry, and you don 't mind just to Find A Place to eat, this place is an option. But, NOT a First choice..... Thanks for the South KOREAN Owner, anyway !!

The food is incredible, especially the sushi! The service is excellent as well. It's my favorite spot in Orewa. The value for the price is unbeatable! I highly recommend this place.
