Starbucks - Hewlett

If I could give this place zero stars, I definitely would. I visited this Starbucks for the first time and asked for a diluted pink drink. The girl with long red braids and glasses responded to the cashier with a dismissive, “What does she want, just with water?” showing a lot of attitude. This drink was for my mom, who has diabetes and can't consume drinks that are too sweet. To make matters worse, the staff were gossiping under their breaths about their personal lives, which felt very unprofessional. The environment was also quite dirty. The only positive aspect of my visit was the cashier who assisted me; she genuinely tried to meet my needs.

I always receive excellent service at this restaurant. James, the manager, has been with the company for years, and he does a fantastic job training his staff. The coffee and food are always served quickly, although sometimes the more efficient staff can get a bit overwhelmed when it's busy. Overall, it's a great place to dine.

I found two articles that claimed you don't need to be a member to enjoy the 50% off promotion on Tuesdays. However, when I visited the Hewlett location on Peninsula Blvd., the cashier told me I had to be a registered member beforehand. She explained that signing up on the spot wouldn't apply to that day's promotion, and I would have to pay the full price. This contradicts what the promotion stated.

The restaurant is clean and has a lovely layout, creating a friendly neighborhood ambiance ideal for quiet conversations. The service is prompt, and we didn't have to wait long at all. However, I suggest placing your order in advance. I will definitely be coming back!

This is my neighborhood Starbucks, and it's fairly good overall. However, I believe they need to call out orders more loudly. It can get quite noisy, and they often use their indoor voices, making it difficult to hear when drinks are ready. There have also been times when they forget to announce food orders, leaving you waiting for around 10 minutes while your item is already packed and just sitting on the counter. Other than those two issues, it's a solid place.
