The hostess greeted us with a "good morning" and a big smile, and she seated us exactly where we requested. The waiter was attentive, quick, and asked all the right questions - I was impressed! The food was delicious and they made sure we had a great dining experience. When I asked for more bread, it arrived quickly and was warm and fresh. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend dining here.
There may not be a large vegan selection, but the Shakshuka at this restaurant is a must-try. Served in a wide dish with vegan breads, a side salad, and dips, the rich tomato and red pepper sauce sticks perfectly to the bread. The vegan Yo Eggs are a real surprise, tasting just like real eggs. The attentive and efficient staff, especially Noam, make the dining experience even better. The Classic Morning breakfast is also highly recommended, with delicious roasted vegetables and dips. Overall, this restaurant offers great food and drinks with excellent service.
I have to say that two years ago, I would never have recommended this restaurant as a great place for vegans, as their options were limited. However, in the past year, they have partnered with an Israeli company called Yo Egg to offer delicious vegan options. Some of these options may not be listed on the English menu, so be sure to ask your server. They now serve Yo Egg as a breakfast option on shakshuka and sunny side up dishes. Make sure to inquire about which breads in the bread basket are vegan, as not all of them are. The Herzliya location tends to have the longest wait, so if you're eager to try their food and don't mind visiting a different location, I recommend doing so as they all offer the same menu. I'm not sure who claimed they had vegan choices, but there was only one vegan dish available besides plain salads - the vegan breakfast. The tofu scramble was tasty, but it was excessively greasy and was paired with flavorless green beans. The menu stated that it included a basket of vegan bread, but we were served bread made with butter without being informed until we inquired. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant.
Overall, despite the limited vegan options and the possibility of customizing the menu, the restaurant offers a delicious Shakshuka dish that is worth trying. The rich tomato and red pepper sauce pairs well with the vegan bread and side salad, creating a flavorful and satisfying meal. The vegan Yo Eggs are also impressive, closely resembling the taste and texture of real eggs. The attention to detail in the food preparation is evident, and the attentive staff, including the excellent barista named Noam, contribute to a pleasant dining experience. The drinks are great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the dishes are well-executed. A return visit to try the Classical Morning menu only further solidified the positive impression of the restaurant.
