The Terrace At Laura Ashley The Manor Elstree

I stayed here and dined at their restaurant. It's a unique spot, and the food and service were excellent. The terrace offers lovely views of London. I ordered the fish and chips, which were quite good; perfectly cooked with a light, non-greasy batter. The portion size was just right—not so much that you feel stuffed. However, I did think the desserts were a bit pricey at £12 for a crème brûlée.

I absolutely love this place! The staff are very attentive and know how to treat their customers well. The rooms are immaculate, and we particularly enjoy the Knightsbridge and Mayfair rooms. I'm heading down for lunch now and can’t wait to try the new chef’s creations!

An exceptional blend of spices and flavors crafted by a couple who are truly passionate about their food and drink. The food is outstanding, accompanied by top-notch service. This restaurant is a remarkable addition to the North Wales dining scene. I highly recommend paying a visit!

This is by far the worst afternoon tea I have experienced. So embarrassing as I took my friend as a birthday treat. Should have realised when the place was empty that something was wrong. When the food came it was so disappointing 8 finger sandwiches, 4 on very average brown sliced bread and 4 on very cheap sliced white bread. You can get so many nice sliced loaves these days surely they could have done better. The scones were very nice but the strawberry jam was again pretty rubbish. As for the cakes well two macaroons were average, two sponge things which had obviously come out of the freezer which I didn’t even try but my friend wasn’t impressed, two small cup cakes which we didn’t touch and two bite sized bits of brownie which we didn’t touch. We did complain when the lovely waitress asked if everything was ok, she was clearly embarrassed and even asked if I was happy to pay the service charge when I paid. She didn’t charge for our second glass of Prosecco which was actually very nice and said she would pass our complaint on.

This now seems just to be called The Manor , and there was no bar food menu and only a limited lunchtime menu when we went mid-week. However we had a pleasant meal on the terrace.
