Galley Hall - Hertford

Unscheduled visit about midday, today but worth it. Only being 2 of us , they found us a table, That will give you an idea of how popular the place is. Our meals were generous and filling, such that we never needed a dessert. You may notice from my pics there was still food on our plates, we did need a 'breather ' before we could finish them. Stall polite and friendly

The Galley Hall has an excellent terrace garden with views over the magnificent Hertfordshire Farmland. The owners have invested significantly in many facilities over the years, the interior of the pub is still old world charming, with a large regular menu meal costs were held in pre-vid levels many pubs are rising prices. The pub catches the sun in the late evening, so it is charming to relax on the terrace in magnificent warmth. Note, some photos of about 5pm, so the pub looks quiet. Since there is a free house, there is a wonderful selection of beer and cider on tap.

I'm here several times and I can't blame this place at all. Love the food and the game area is such a bonus

What a gem, we were made very welcome and enjoyed great food. Service was top notch, we're already planning another visit

Had a lovely sunday roast here, great value, very good quality. All our meals were fantastic. Atmosphere was warm inviting with friendly staff. Fab fireplaces and a true old british pub. Wish I lived nearby!
