I was the only car in the ride, so the service was pretty fast. 5 pieces, 2 pages and 2 cookies ordered. After the payment went straight home, 5 minutes. Changed clothes and sat down for dinner. I looked at the chicken and was very disappointed? But it was the cookies that pushed me over the edge. They were hard like rocks. I took my bag and the bag and returned to Popeyes. Again the only car in the drive. Explains to the employees that I wanted my money back, and she refunded my money and asked me to have a cake or a drink... I told her I just wanted to eat. She asked if I would take mild as a substitute and made me a fresh order and added 2 cakes. I ate when I came home and I was not impressed with the replacement. I have eaten Popeyes for a number of years and in varuos locations from Virginia, OH and DC. I don't know if they changed the recipe? but it wasn't the Popeyes I remember.
Placed an order on GrubHub at 8:30. The ETA was constantly pushed back until it finally said ETA 10:55. My order was for a simple chicken sandwich meal. I only live 12 minutes away. They wanted me to wait 2 and a half hours, a full hour after the restaurant closes. I cannot help but imagine the staff simply didn't want to deliver the meal so they delayed it until I cancelled. I will never go to or order from this restaurant ever again.
Drove thru this place and they took 4 minutes before taking my order. Then I gave my order and they said they were out of half of the things I asked for. Once I finally completed my modified order, I pulled up to the window and waited even longer for my food. Once I left the drive thru and began to eat, less than half the food I ordered was in the bag. Worst drive thru experience I can remember.
Went on a Sunday afternoon, 12:30pm, Mother's Day. Tried to go into the dining room to order door locked. No signage. Employee smoking outside told me to try the other door. Tried all doors. Locked. Aforementioned employee lets me inside, because he was just as confused as I was. Go inside, and all 3 employees inside look at me, confused, because they closed the dining room at 12:30 on a Sunday, and someone somehow got in, despite no signage. Spend 10 minutes trying to put in a simple order for a combo. Dude's confused, tries to overcharge me for sides, despite it clearly saying I get 2 sides. Constantly laments that they closed the dining room. It's 12:30 on a Sunday. There's no signage. Manager pushes dude out of the way, sends him to the drive thru. Takes my order, and doesn't get it wrong. 20 minutes so far. Dudes are confused about how many pieces go into a 12 piece meal. Arguing about what goes into the box. Finally get my food, and go home. Chicken, flavorless. What happened to this place?
Have visited multiple time. Never an issue with employees (always friendly) food always tasty w/ good portions... until tonight. THIS is ridiculously sad. More battered crumbs than actual shrimp. Not even half the amount of previous visits. smh Totally disappointed. So check your order before leaving the parking lot or you may get home to open up a disappointing meal. ?
