Waldrestaurant Steinmeyer - Herford

The best placed restaurant in Herford, over looking the city and in super surroundings. The food is excellent, but the service is awful once you have ordered the food comes at a nice gentle pace that allows you to enjoy it, but up front be prepared...to wait 10mins at your table before you even get a drink, and trying to pay the bill at the end is arduous (we have eaten there several times and normally have to go up to the bar to pay). Great steaks!

Great location overlooking Herford but we've been here three times now and the service has always been really slow. Quick to take your order, average to deliver, terrible when it comes to ordering another drink or trying to pay the bill!

The food was gorgeous and the staff very attentive. The views at dusk across Herford town are spectacular

It is located above the city of Herford, at the forrest. from there they have an excellent prospect. you can sit outside or inside. the interieur is very beautifully decorated. eating is offered various seasonal meals, with vegetarian dishes. the drink list ranges from whine to beer to cocktails. the service is polite. the price is higher but reasonable. recommandation!

Really delicious traditional seasonal German cuisine, great view, great service. visited several times and always had a pleasant experience.
