La Carretica - Heredia

Sunday afternoon. my son and I left the fair in the inner city of kathedrale and were hungry, on which search for tican eat. our Uber drive lives in heredia and strongly recommended lacarretica. he was absolutely right. the gallopinto breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I love sauces and the sauce that the makler had provided was delicious and spicy (picoso.) the coffee was just as delicious. even if it was already in the afternoon, the breakfast was far. my 19-year-old son was just as impressed. we wanted a kist to warm up the left and fried bananas because they were too tasty to waste them. we are coming back! or at least I hope we will.

Some of the best food in costa rica. just a few minutes walk from britt coffee tour. the chicken and rice was very tasteful.

This place was absolutely amazing!! All 4 of us enjoyed it quite a bit! Highly recommend the diced cheese appetizer!! All food was delicious, really cool hidden gem packed with locals!!

It's been a while since I went to la Carretica. I like home made food, and for Costa Rican I eat at home. However, having a visiting person and no food at home, I wanted to share a local Costa Rican meal. We ordered casado with chicken. Wow! Flavorful food. Great tasting rice, well prepared beans and the chicken served in a great sauce with potatoes... quite good. I usually think Costa Rican food is low in flavors (when compared with Indian or Chinese), but this was right on the spot. Service was good, and they brewed coffe at the table. Great choice!
