The Conservatory - HEPBURN SPRINGS

We stayed at the hotel with a tour group for 2 nights and had an evening meal and two breakfasts in the Conservatory. While there was nothing wrong with the food per se the numbers proved too much for the kitchen and the food was served lukewarm at best. The cooked breakfast is made to order but again getting the food to the table hot seemed to be a problem.

Popped in here for lunch yesterday with some girlfriends. We all had something different. Coffee was really good, meals were tasty, Lovely

An excellent choice of breakfast items in a nice pleasant area. Fresh fruits, cakes, and two offerings of an excellent cooked breakfast. Have not had better.

We booked breakfast at the Conservatory before our Mineral Spa package as we read a lot of great reviews about the food and were not able to dine at Argus, so we opted to test out the Chef Hat award dining at breakfast. The conservatory is part of the Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel, which is a historic building and tastefully decorated, , the garden is stunning with a beautiful mini maze. The service of the staff were excellent. We paid $27.50 each for a full buffet breakfast which we thought was exceptional value for a hotel breakfast. Some of the other small cafes in the area charge more than this for a one plate big breakfast. The buffet had a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fruits and pastries. We both ordered the big hot breakfast and it was absolutely delicious, the best breakfast that we ate during this trip. The fried egg was cooked perfectly, the mushroom was so juicy and had so much flavour. OMG Im not one to rave on about baked beans, but they were the best baked beans I have ever eaten, the sauce was divine. The pork and fennel sausage was delicious. All items were stacked on top of each other to create a tower, and all the flavours worked so well together. Compliments to the chef, we were so impressed, what an amazing gourmet breakfast. Perfect way to start the day and very filling after also having a pastry and some fruit there was no room for lunch and we were very happy! Highly recommend, cant wait to go back and eat breakfast there every day.

Breakfast is included in your stay at Peppers, we had a cooked breakfast each day, but there is plenty to choose from with the variety of items in the continental breakfast. Staff were pleasant and bubbly. Would rather see all coffees included rather than paying for coffees except for filtered coffee. Would recommend "The Conservatory" cooked breakfast, with poached eggs.
