Azzurro - Henrico

What a delight! I lived in Richmond for over 30 years and have never tried Azzurro. The ambience, the food, the service were all outstanding. We were seated at a lovely table by a lovely maître d’, who is extremely charming, and set the tone for the evening. Perfect cocktails, followed by a beet salad for me and shrimp gazpacho for others at our table. They all loved it. As for dinner, I enjoyed the Pollo Palermo and the halibut piccata special for my other half. Both dishes were so unique. In my opinion very clean Italian. The quality of a halibut was outstanding.  In my opinion, all the food was spot on. Our server was absolutely delightful. She read our table beautifully, and I commend her for her professionalism and talent for making a perfect evening even more perfect.  for others at our table. They all loved it. As for dinner at Azzurro- go in, expecting a charming environment with a charming staff, genteel vibe, and overall pleasant experience.

Grabbed a quick dinner with my wife and enjoyed our server very much. She was the perfect mix of knowledge and conversation. The salad was amazing and the pasta special was good.

Went for a birthday dinner and they decorated the table for the birthday girl! Food was very good but service could have been better.

The food was inedible we ate just a few bites and took boxes to go to dispose of. The creamy pasta sauce was completely watery, the pancetta was burnt, the marsala sauce tasted like it was from a can (it was on the specials menu with no price listed... it ended up being one of the most expensive things on the menu), the broccoli was uncooked. We are not people to complain at a restaurant because it causes a scene. We will not be returning.
