Rising Sun - Henley-On-Thames

I booked a table for lunch at 1:15 PM for six people, and we had a great meal. My mother has celiac disease, so finding suitable food in pubs can be a hit or miss, but the gluten-free fish and chips were fantastic. The roast beef was delicious, cooked perfectly pink as requested, and paired beautifully with sweet sides. Personally, I found the Yorkshire puddings a bit lacking, but I have high expectations thanks to my North Yorkshire grandmother! That said, they were homemade. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and our meals came out quickly after we ordered. There were plenty of board games available to borrow and enjoy while we sipped our drinks and decided what to eat. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, making it a lovely country pub that's great for families and dogs. Overall, I highly recommend it!

It was a last-minute decision, and I hadn't been to The Rising Sun in about 28 years! However, we were in the mood for a nice Saturday meal. The food was delicious—full of flavor and generously portioned. The service was attentive without being overbearing. We'll definitely be coming back!

A lovely pub in Berkshire, offering excellent food and a friendly staff. I visited during the Christmas break and had a delightful evening with my daughter and son.

Beautiful location, and good, on a cold winter day to come to a log fire. the food was usually very good, but we waited almost one and a half hours before it arrived, and not all the meals came when the order was grounded. as a result that most of our group had finished their meals before the rest of the food arrived. pity! despite the problems we held for pudding that was good again, although some of them seemed like half portions?! would recommend yet, but double check their food order is correct and ready to wait one!

A very nice country pub in a quiet location. It was unfortunate that there was only 1 chef in the kitchen so food took a while to arrive. The food was a little disappointing.
