Mash Brasserie - HENLEY BROOK

Although the restaurant has potential, the interior is very crowded. Ordering from the bar is difficult due to the constant flow of people coming and going, accessing the bathroom, and staff dropping dishes. It would be better to utilize the outside bar for more drink options. The food was decent.

We often go to Mash Brewery on Fridays, but two weeks ago we decided to go there for lunch and it was very crowded. We were able to find a table, but we had to wait a long time for the staff to clear and clean it. We have observed that the staff do not sanitize the tables, but instead use the same dirty cloth to wipe them down. This lack of hygiene is concerning, especially during the pandemic. We urge the restaurant to prioritize everyone's safety and adhere to the recommended 1.5 meter distance guidelines.

The restaurant was not ideal on a hot day as the air conditioning struggled, with the interior being open to the exterior. The atmosphere resembled that of a mine-site canteen, with tables hastily set with a rag. The beers were refreshing and the food was decent. However, the total cost of $140 for 3 dishes, beers, and one dessert was exorbitant (especially for Perth). The bill was presented on an iPad with only the total amount paid listed, and was given begrudgingly. In comparison, a similar meal at Duckstein cost $80.

Called in during the week. Decent beer, but very quiet which was a positive for us, but a year or so ago, at the weekend it was “heaving”. Great to be able to seat a working brewery, but not much outlook at the rear, so you could be anywhere. Would certainly do a full tasting next time.

Went using a Tapas Groupon voucher . Waitress correctly recommended that one person chose menu A and the other had menu B. So tried 6 dishes , all fine . Having read the previous reviews I went expecting poor service but was very pleasantly surprised . Various dishes came promptly , staff very polite in asking whether we were ready for the next dish. Beer is good , and there are definitely some interesting styles to try.
