Elmar's in the Valley - HENLEY BROOK

It was so lovely of Elmars in the valley to host an entirely free event for local residents. This was a superb night and the comments just keep flowing from everyone who attended, to bring a community together in this fashion, in a much needed time, was very thoughtful indeed. We were treated with such honour and respect, the jolly drinks, the superb, fresh, amazingly tasty food, the service, the entertainment, was an absolute delight. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.

I've dined at Elmars previously and thoroughly enjoyed the ham hock which was as good as anything that I could get in Munich. On this visit I teamed the hock with a buffet main course and buffet sweets. The food was excellent. On arriving at the restaurant I armed myself with a pint of pils beer which was of the highest quality. During the evening I restocked on both a wheat beer and a lager and wasn't disappointed. All were first class. All in all, we had a very nice evening indeed. Thankyou to all at Elmars.

We went for dinner at Elmars yesterday night. The waiter that attended our table was very nice, gave us excellent advises about the beer and wine to choose. At the end of the dinner, despite being already late and about to close the restaurant, he also offered a mini-tour of the brewery behind the main bar. Food was very good. Getting to the restaurant from South of Perth took a while (about 40 minutes), but the drive was worthed. Prices are not low, but not higher than the ones of many other restaurants in Perth and portions are very generous.

This is a very German style restaurant. Ultra clean and a very good range of items on the menu. My wife had an item from the entree menu, while I settled for a baguette with venison. We had been out shopping and chose this place for a late lunch. There was a minor mixup with the order ,but was suitably addressed and amicably sorted. Prices were reasonable, but could escalate if some of the more "GERMAN" dishes were selected.There were only 3 small groups and a party on the "al fresco" verandah. The place was well presented and very quiet on the day. Would I go again...Definitely. Only one downer, a radio was the only source of entertainment. I would have liked it better with the background music being based on a German Bier Hall. (OOOMPA PA type Music)
